COVID-19: Peter Jones Foundation Charity Shoot Day Postponed

Peter Jones Foundation Charity Shoot Day Postponed

The Peter Jones Foundation today (Wednesday 25th March) announced the postponement of their annual Charity Shoot Day, held at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School, which was scheduled to take place on Wednesday 1st July, 2020.

Executive Chairman of the Peter Jones Foundation, Jonathon Sobczyk Boddington said:

“The world is in an unprecedented situation with the global pandemic of COVID-19 and public health and the safety of the public is our main priority. After careful consideration of the most recent government advice to avoid non-essential contact and public gatherings, and the uncertainties of the future months, we have decided that we have made the difficult decision to postpone our fundraising event until Autumn 2020.

“We know how disappointing this news will be to all those who have signed-up to join us on 1st July – the philanthropic individuals who generously support us each year, our event partners who generously offer their time and expertise and the brands and businesses who enable us to raise critical funds.

“We are extremely grateful for all the support we have received and whilst we appreciate that this will be disappointing to many, we are delighted to confirm that we have secured a new date in Autumn 2020 where were can celebrate the work of the Peter Jones Foundation, in good knowledge that public welfare will not be at risk.”

“We know that there will be many questions from the brands, business leaders, entrepreneurs and individuals who support our events and we ask you to please bear with us as we work through the detailed planning process to reschedule the Charity Shoot DayWe are delighted that so many of the attendees and business have already confirmed that they can join us in the Autumn and look forward to hearing from you in the coming weeks when we share the new date.”
